CHRISTIAN LACROIX THE COSTUMIER NATIONAL MUSEUM OF SINGAPORE PRESENTS THE ASIAN DEBUT OF THE EXHIBITION

An exhibition featuring a collection of couture stage costumes by fashion designer Christian Lacroix showcases close to 80 spectacular costumes, as well as 60 illustrations and sketches. This is an exclusive chance to see Lacroix's body of work that spans over 20 years and more than 25 stage productions.

Starting with the first Lacroix's encounter with the theatre production, «Chantecler», in 1986, he has been really involved in costume design for the stage, while designing his own couture and prêt à porter collections. «This comes from a passion for history that has been with me since my childhood, within my imaginative universe and the games I played. I've always enjoyed searching for historical truths or restoring them by designing scenery, furniture and costumes», says the couturier.
